55 yo female with idiopathic cervical dystonia using Botox injections for improved ROM & decreased pain. Wants to stop Botox & is inquiring about peptides or PRP for txt.
Thinking the suspected pathophysiology of sporadic focal dystonia could be a defect of energy metabolism (mitochondrial complex I deficiency) – seems peptides focusing on cellular optimization would outweigh the use of PRP? Peptides to consider: BPC-157, cerebrolysin? Other thoughts & suggestions for txt? Thanks! Tracy
A possible etiology of idiopathic cervical dystonia is chronic subluxation of the first cervical vertebra. It will require an experienced chiropractic physician to accurately diagnose and treat.
