Hi I am interested in any expert opinion here… I have a patient with HISTORY of Breast Ca- cleared. And this may pertain to any patient with history of Cancer. I would like to start this patient on CJC/Ipamorelin for the regenerative and antiaging benefits (the 5 nights per week dosing) and she wanted to know the risks of cancer using this peptide. From what I see, read and understand if there is current cancer it can grow with this peptide- so obvious no go. But If history of cancer but Cleared it should be ok as long as ongoing surveillance is done. Can you please address. Sincere thanks!

    Jennifer,

This is risky territory.  How long has she been in remission and what is the evidence that she has been cleared of breast cancer?

The studies that look at tesamorelin in kaposi sarcoma show regression of tumor burden, so there is evidence that these agents may be anti-carcinogenic.  Tesamorelin is a different compound than CJC/Ipammorelin and can we extrapolate the studies to both?  Maybe, but the general uninformed opinion about these agents is that they all function like hGH.  If she has any return of cancer, the oncologists and other physicians will be blame it on the use of CJC/Ipamorelin and that puts you at substantial medical legal risk.

    hope this helps
