I have a 39 year old female who had a long hx of itchy legs and feet for 10 years, completed full neurology and autoimmune work up which patient reports was negative.
Pt has not had vascular work up which I have recommended and she is completing.
Pt was recently prescribed testosterone pellets which helped resolve itching and burning sensations , she had been taking Benadryl, histamine blockers and ice packs which she no longer needs
Pt has noticed acne and oily skin and would like to stop testosterone pellet and start injectable testosterone cypionate which I have initiated. Her work up and initial management includes microbiome testing and hormone testing.
Initial care includes nitric oxide, mag glycinate, Progesterone, Vit D and specific probiotics.
I have put this on the board to see if any one else has seen anecdotally how testosterone can resolve pruritis? Just curious!
Thank you for your time 🙂
