Hello! I have a 3-year-old with eczema, constipation, a history of multiple respiratory infections, asthma, and gut dysbiosis. We’ve discovered elevated calprotectin levels and an E. histolytica infection. She tried the Cellcore protocol under another provider, but she’s struggling with compliance. I’m thinking about switching to Dr. Keller’s GI tune-up protocol, but I can only find 500mg Alinia pills; the oral suspension form isn’t available at regular pharmacies. My question is: would it be okay to use the pill form from a compounding pharmacy and mix it into something like yogurt? accurately dosing it might be tricky.  Since she’s showing symptoms related to tight junctions, I’m also thinking about trying Larazotide. what’s the ideal dosage for her age and weight? shes 32lbs. thanks!

Your dosing is typically 250mcg BID to 500 mcg BID. I would start at 250mcg at age 3, but the studies involving MIS-C was 10mcg/kg QID.

Get the bowel moving first with some lactulose or miralax then start the larazotide. soon after.

You can get Alinia 500mg tabs and split them or crush them also. I use CarePoint Pharmacy who the is the distributor for Alinia.

    Hope this helps,

Hi Clyde and staff!  I was under the impression Alinia was a peptide.  After researching further, It appears it’s a medication.

I like to stick with peptides because of the more natural, amino acid approach.  Is there a peptide that’s comparable outside of oral BPC?

    thanks in advance!
