Hi folks who do testosterone replacement. What is the starting dose of aromatase inhibitors to use in men who convert too much of their T to E?

Do you need to follow any additional labs or test (besides bone density) just by adding Anastrozole?

I saw people using DIM first, and I will try that, but want to be ready for the next step.

Thank you – I appreciate potential responders!

DIM is a great place to start. Also calcium d glucurate. Cutting alcohol. Improving sleep. Reducing adiposity. When the aromatase inhibition is needed, 0.25 mg anastrazole twice weekly (given same days as test injection).

Thanks so much, do you have to compound the low dose anastrozole? Or do the cut up 1 mg into 4 pieces – I looked at the tablets and they do not seem to be scored…thanks so much again.

No need to use AI – there are always exceptions- I have used 1-2 x ever (and then low dose for 2 weeks only).

AI’s will lead to visceral fat accumulation, ED, osteoporosis and much more.  No upside and no need to do this; this myth needs to die. Just manage testosterone the right way and there are rarely any issues.

Really great to hear Dr. Seeds’ comments, I am now looking into the ratio between Test/E2 and being more comfortable with allowing the E2 to climb with the free test level. If we keep the free test in the upper ranger then theoretically E2 should climb there as well? I have seen with my clinic when the E2 drops with AIs joint pain, libido and poor skin appearance.
