Hello,
I am new to the group, recently finished Dr Seeds’ Foundational Peptides course and thoroughly enjoyed the knowledge he shared. My daughter came home for Thanksgiving, had a negative COVID-19 test 1.5 weeks ago before boarding an airplane, self isolated in our home since then, waited 6 days after arriving home to get retested 3 days ago (PCR) and got a +ve test result today. I have 6 autoimmune disorders, age 62 and have been doing baking soda few days prior to her arrival home, switching to Alkaseltzer Gold 4 days ago. Although we haven’t hugged her yet, she has had access to our kitchen (We now only let her out of her room to use the bathroom. We leave her requested food outside her door…). I often do an intermittent fast of 18 hours, but when she got her +ve test result this morning, I decided to keep fasting, hoping my body will go into ketosis, be stronger with less inflammation (ie, decrease chance of cytokine storm which otherwise may be likely with so many autoimmune disorders).
- It has been 28 hours since I have had any food- only tea, water with or without pink salt and A-Gold. It it wise to continue fasting?
- I have been taking 3000-4000 iu Vit D daily since March, but have not taken it today since it is fat soluble and taking it with fat would break my fast.
- I also have put my 3 kids and husband on baking soda/ AlkaSelzer Gold but they aren’t being very compliant. (My husband and kids are very healthy in general but my 19 year old who tested +ve has “allergy” symptoms, headache and loss of smell). My other daughter and I both woke up with a severe headache this morning. We are all isolating and scheduled for testing in 2 days)
- Thoughts on which peptides to start on? I was thinking TA1 for myself due to autoimmune issues, but my family are not going to accept any injectables…
- Would collagen Hydrolysate peptides help? And maybe Ketones (and if so, which form is best?)
I really appreciate any input from this wise and experience group!
Thank you all kindly,
Fawn
