This is an odd one for me. Patient has chronic history of EDS, POTS, MCAS, IBD, IC, ME/CFS.

She had an MRI of her brain, post MRI she developed tinnitus and can’t leave house because of the pain (hyperacusis/dysacusis). She has to wear ear protection constantly now. She tried glutathione, it helped, tried benzos (didn’t work), tried TENS on back of neck which produced neuropathy in arms ands legs). Tried PEMF, didn’t work.

She has researched small humanin peptide like 3, Humanin G along with Neurotrophin-3 for cochlear synaptopathy. I have never seen these available and curious if anyone has any insight to this condition or possible treatment options. Any input is appreciated.

Tinnutis is signaling inflammation in the brain -we know. I don’t know how to tell which area or on which cellular level.

If a regular MRI showed nothing, do you think another test like a Functional MRI would show anything?

Is the patient hearing impaired? Are they already on a health program as far as microbiome, liver detox, hormone replenishment and nutrient replenishment to decrease overall inflammation?

I am interested to follow this bc I do come across Tinnitus pretty often. I don’t have Tinnitus, but I did suffer hearing loss after migraine with intractable vomiting, because my system was out of balance and going through peri-menopause. Too bad I hadn’t heard of Fx Medicine at that time it could have saved me from hearing loss!
