DIHEXA dosing

I have a 69 y/o male, metabolic syndrome s/p stroke x2.  He is already on TA1, CJC/Ipa, BPC, Selank and Semak.  I would like to add DIHEXA but it is only available orally.  Is this effective?  Do I use 20mg daily for 6 weeks?

Hi Siobhan,

Dihexa was shown in the research to be effective in a dosage range of 40 to 60 mg daily.  It can be given as a transdermal cream or as capsules.  I generally find that patients tolerate it well at bedtime and sleep more deeply.

I’ve used DiHexa with good response at doses 40-60 mg as Dr Fleisher has recommended.  Since it is oral, it is carried by many compounding pharmacies.  I am careful to monitor the BP, as it has been noted to have increases in BP with high doses.

Dihexa dosing was covered in the A4M/IPS Peptide Therapy training.

If the patient does not respond to Dihexa, then they probably have neuroinflammation, which is best addressed with a 8-12 week course of Thymosin-A1 0.25-.05 ml SQ BID.
