I have a 44 yo male with gastroparesis that started as a teenager.  He is originally from Liechenstein and had a stomach pacemaker implanted in 2006 which was removed in 2009 due to no effect.  He has severe bouts of intestinal pain with gas that paralyze him for hours to days at a time.  He was admitted to the hospital at one point and told that he had only 20% peristalsis in his GI tract.  He received autologous stem cell therapy in 2017 and had no improvement until 1 year later for a short period of time where he was able to eat and drink normally whatever he wanted.  After a few months he started to have a return of his bouts of intestinal pain and bloating, but they did not last as long.  He received exosome therapy in 2019 along with BPC 157 and had slow improvement for a few months until he had a traumatic experience where his girlfriend committed suicide. All of his symptoms returned again, and he received another round of exosomes at the beginning of 2020.  He was also started on Thymosin alpha and BPC 157 again.  He again started to improve for a short period of time until he had a return of his symptoms a few months later. Due to lack of funds, he could not continue on the peptides. My assessment is that he had some measure of healing to his vagus nerves with stem cells, but that he has an underlying inflammatory condition that continues to drive his symptoms.  I am recommending a workup for biotoxins and thinking of putting him back on Thymosin Alpha 1 and BPC 157.  Would Cerebrolysin also be a good option? Any other thoughts?

    Hi Suzanne,

I’m glad you posted on gastroparesis.  I also have a patient with it.  She is 53 year old Type 1 diabetic who can barely eat anything.  She uses an elemental diet when possible for at least 1 meal a day.  She also has a neurodegenerative disorder, Primary Progressive Aphasia.  She has heavy metal toxicity that is likely contributing and I will not be able to detox her from that until her gut is working better.  I looked on the other forums from IPS and found a couple of things that were mentioned: ipamorelin and BPC. One post from Dr. Seeds mentioned GHRP 6 which is a ghrelin analogue.

I have a source for but do not know what dosing to use.  Is there anyone with experience in this who can weigh in?  Thanks.
