You can go either route, although I would recommend it as part of the treatment and not as an upcharge.
Utilizing it as proof concept…first to set the groundwork for the treatment plan and then to show the gains, especially if there are no visible changes. When the numbers tell otherwise, no denying your treatment plan is working.
Also, you extend the lifetime value of the customer/patient where you’ll have better roi on the treatment plan than on a single $100 charge for a scan. Also, you’ll probably only get one or two charges and you’ll come off as nickel and dime’ing the patient.
Again, you can charge, i personally haven’t heard of it as a separate single charge though
