I am looking to get coverage for just my peptide practice. Are there any carriers that people would recommend? I am in a solo practice just getting started so the expense is pretty important, any advice is appreciated

    Thanks!

    Hi Cat,

Insurance coverage is a murky issue.  Peptides are used regularly in medicine and part of daily practice, but peptides as we use them have a wider definition.  Some peptides are approved by the FDA and some are not.  I have not seen any insurace companies asking for/offering specific coverage for peptides.  It is within our rights as practitioners to use medications “off-label” and this falls under that catagory.

The most I would advise the insurace provider is that you provide functional / integrative medicine services.

    Hope this helps,

    Abid

    Cat,

I recommend you reach out to Longevity Physicians Insurance Group (LPI). They are an age management malpractice carrier. They are very affordable and physician owned. You can google them for their contact info.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi Kris,

I see this suggestion was made back in 2021. Would you still suggest Longevity Physicians Group for a concierge-based telehealth practice?

    Thanks

    Simone
