Peptides and State Regulations

Hi,

Is there a good source or somewhere to go and easily find the laws and regulations when it comes to peptides? There are so many different regulations by state and I am having trouble finding each states information. The first states I would like to find the regulations of are Kentucky, California and Texas and go from there.

Can someone please point me in a direction to find this information?

Good question Denise,

Perhaps the pharmacists could help direct us. For example, I’m in a small Colorado mountain community with a large tourism base, that has  need to hold on site for example, BPC-157 for an injections secondary to an acute MSK injury or even a TBI from mountain biking/skiing etc. By the time we order and ship etc, we have lost some opportunity. But I”m afraid to inventory

anything nor give without a “prescription in the patient’s name”.  At the same time we have many other drugs we use with comfort including steroid concoctions, hypertensive urgency meds etc.

Am I being to0 cautious in regards to some of the safer Peptides?

How are you all doing this?

I would seek legal counsel on your specific states when it comes to what is allowed from the physician’s standpoint in your practice. From the pharmacy end, when it comes to peptides and 503a pharmacies, each prescription must be patient-specific, and pharmacies can not send a prescription that is for in-office use.  They can be shipped to the practice location but must be patient-specific.
