I have 2 patients that I would love to get feedback on.

One is a gentleman with morbid obesity and weight loss that has been resistant to most diet efforts. When on semaglutide and CJC/ipamorelin, he started to notice flushing with the CJC/ipamorelin (was not injecting it close to the time when he did semaglutide). This went far beyond the usual injection site irritation. On one occasion, he was staring ahead and not responding to his wife after the injection. EMT was called, and he had very high blood pressure. He got better on his own but understandably decided to stop the CJC/ipamorelin.

A separate patient is a woman with a history of Bartonella, Lyme and mold toxins. She does extremely well with BPC and the thymosins. She used sermorelin/glycine about a year ago and had a great response (less brain fog and more get up and go in the morning). When she tried it again a couple of months ago, she developed almost full body itching and a sense of tightness in her chest and throat. Understandably, she stopped.

Curious if anyone else has seen reactions like this, and if so, do we have any idea what drives it? Both of the peptides in question came from reputable pharmacies that we all work with frequently.

Yes, we have 3 patients out of 2800 patients who get sort of a Anaphylaxis reaction and its only caused by GH peptides. We’ve asked everyone and no one seems to know what it is.

I have had one patient with a severe reaction to CJC/IPA. The first time we were not sure what it was so I switched to another pharmacy (both SSRP) and it was worse. Terrible body pain, nausea, vomiting etc. She does fine on all the others.

This is an antibody response to the GHRH. Data on GHRH peptides in studies show some people develop antibody reactions. This present as flushing, diffuse hives and rarely anaphylaxis.

You can just use GHRPs but they will not be able to take GHRH (CJC or tessamorelin) any longer.

We saw that those who had a reaction to GHRH also had a reaction to the GHRP’s , so be careful.

I instruct the patient to rub the injection site to disperse the peptide and I provide a anti-histamine tablet to be taken immediately in the rare instance of flushing / hives / palpitations that I have very occasionally seen with CJC.
