Hi all
If anyone is willing to share, I would love to garner some numbers on what everyone is charging (and how they are charging) their programs to patients.
Hormone programs
Peptide programs
weight loss programs
etc.
what is all offered, how you explain the value to patients and the costs etc. I know there is a ton of regional/geographic variation but this would be great for networking and mutual growth for all the members; if we can all enhance our programs and support each other etc. that would be amazing as well!

June 19, 2021 at 10:15 am #29642I’m also interested – starting my business now and no business experience whatsoever (phasing myself out of anesthesia)…. I have no idea what to charge as far as packages, I only know you can’t charge someone for peptides specifically but you roll it into a total care package. Someone mentioned there is a functional medicine consultant company that can help you set up your practice, anyone know how I can find that service?

David Bonfa gave a great talk about “how to get the most out of your patients.” check it out here https://ssrpinstitute.org/ssrp-members-videos/
he doesn’t go over pricing model in terms of actual numbers, but has some great tips especially if you’re starting up your practice
as far as pricing goes for peptides, the SSRP Health Mastery program (patient referral program) requires participating physicians to charge 2x, which is generally industry standard. Other pricing models you can explore are monthly/yearly subscriptions
in terms of explaining the value/cost, I explain to patients how we deal with an incredible amount of patients who have bad experiences and the two main reasons why are: untrained practitioners and internet sourcing for products (both are sadly true btw). I then explain that the cost is significant (i’m very transparent about this and tell them actual pricing) to what they, as the patient, may be used to, but it’s bc of the quality… both the doctor and the source bc our doctors refuse to use second rate sources when it comes to patient health
July 6, 2022 at 1:02 pm #29644Can you charge for specific peptides or do they always need to be part of a “program”
can someone clarify this?
thank you!!
July 11, 2022 at 7:54 pm #29645There are definitely doctors who just charge for peptides. Our attorney suggests, however, from a legal standpoint, that charging for a “program” is the optimal way of doing things.

July 17, 2022 at 1:11 pm #29646@Michael Kim: How does one become a member of this: the SSRP Health Mastery program (patient referral program)
One point that came up in another forum is that some states do not allow the upselling of peptides/meds. Any knowledge of this?
October 12, 2022 at 8:27 am #29647to get around most of the local, state and federal guidelines you can simply charge a fee for participation in the organization, once they are members they can utilize the clinics/organizations resources.
as my attorney has said, no program is perfect, but be especially cautious with medicare patients. best not to accept medicare at all.
October 13, 2022 at 8:56 pm #29648I charge standard 2X for the peptide itself and a “management” fee which prepays for the next visit essentially. Furthermore I have medicare patients sign a medicare waiver for nonmedicare covered services which includes peptide therapy. If patients are unhappy with results I offer to give their money back. I have never had to actually do this.
December 19, 2022 at 4:26 pm #29649Would you mind sharing your “management” fee? And when do you bill this?
Thanks in advance!

Thanks

July 9, 2025 at 8:54 am #29652I would also love more information on this topic
i currently have two options. I have everything packaged into a “program” for two reasons. One to avoid having the client pay taxes on a “Product” and two to set myself apart from other places that just give out shots…
I call it an accountability program and I charge $1500 for 3 months of Semaglutide with check ins, monthly measurements, meal plans, a workout app and a few other bonuses.
I also do something similar for BPC/TB500 since my background is in biomechanics. Included a strength/PT type program.
I would love referrals on attorneys people are using and insurance coverage because I’m missing these pieces.
July 26, 2025 at 2:16 pm #29653I’m an ARNP doing menopause care telemed. I charge $99 initial consultation, then $250/mo program and that includes meds for; systemic estrogen, vaginal estrogen and oral progesterone. If they want to add testosterone it’s another $89/mo. They use insurance for labs or cash pay. I take a very light functional approach and after looking at labs/sx will recommend supplements via fullscript and make 20% on that. We are talking basic stuff like methylation, magnesium, Vit D, etc. We have a Zoom call every 3 months. I am available via pt portal for text questions between visits included in monthly fee. I am a solo provider with no help so overhead is just me and a laptop.
I did have my first cellular medicine patient, and I charged $300 for an hour Zoom where I gave her just the basic start of a gut healing program. Then when she is ready for the next piece to her plan, she can get another $300 visit and I’ll dole out the next small step. This is just my medical fee does not include any meds/supplements/labs. I thought about doing a 6 month package for $1500 but everyone heals at their own pace, issues are so complex- if they are improving step by step they will keep coming. I am still learning as a newbie here so prefer for now- to take it slow until I can gain some confidence. The learning curve is steep but it sure is fun!!
