SSRP Institute Welcomes StemWave as New Trusted Partner

PARTNER ANNOUNCEMENT

WILLOUGHBY, Ohio, [April 9, 2026] — The SSRP Institute announces that StemWave has joined its Trusted Partner Network following nomination and completion of the SSRP’s internal review process.

StemWave provides an FDA-listed, non-invasive acoustic wave therapy platform used in musculoskeletal care. The technology delivers focused mechanical energy to targeted tissues, supporting improved circulation, modulation of inflammatory signaling, and activation of the body’s natural repair processes. It is commonly applied across soft tissue and joint-related conditions involving the shoulder, spine, hip, knee, ankle, foot, and associated tendons and ligaments.

“StemWave's focused shockwave therapy has delivered exceptional clinical outcomes in my regenerative practice, with its ability to enhance tissue regeneration and activate natural healing. Their evidence-based approach and commitment to clinical excellence make them an ideal partner for the SSRP community,” said Dr. Gerald Morris, SSRP nominating Member.

From a cellular perspective, acoustic wave therapy influences microvascular perfusion, mechanotransduction pathways, and tissue remodeling. Research in shockwave therapy demonstrates improved blood flow and inflammation modulation, aligning with treatment goals for chronic pain and soft tissue dysfunction. Treatments are brief, non-pharmacologic, and designed to complement comprehensive regenerative care plans.

"Rooted in science and performance, SSRP is spearheading a cultural shift in healthcare,” says Jake Ellis of StemWave. “The values and transparency of this community made it an obvious partnership for us at StemWave! We’re thrilled and grateful to amplify SSRP’s mission with practical, evidence-driven tools, further fueling the highest standards in clinician support and patient outcomes."

Through these partnerships, the SSRP aims to support Members by connecting them with vetted resources that complement training, protocol development, and implementation in practice.

How the Peptide AOD-9604 Targets LanCL Proteins to Fight Viral Infections and Neurodegenerative Conditions
In this research article, I return to the subject of my first-ever Journal Club (Ep. 017), in which I discussed a 2023 research study entitled, “Naturally derived cytokine peptides limit virus replication and severe disease during influenza A virus infection” (2023) that examined a specific growth hormone-derived peptide to address the underlying immunological mechanisms of post-viral […]

Nutrition Education for Physicians and Medical Students
HEADLINE SCIENCE MAY 6, 2026 —Earlier in March, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and the U.S. Department of Education announced an initiative to emphasize nutrition at the nation’s top medical schools. Reflecting U.S. Health and Human Services Secretary Robert Kennedy’s commitment to preventative medicine, this initiative will require “meaningful nutrition training” […]

New ACC and AHA Cholesterol Management Guidelines
HEADLINE SCIENCE APRIL 29, 2026 – The American College of Cardiology (ACC) and American Heart Association (AHA) have updated their cholesterol management guidelines, advocating for earlier and more aggressive intervention based on the understanding that cumulative lifetime exposure to high LDL-C drives atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD) risk. The guidelines aim to standardize care for dyslipidemia […]

A Review of Circadian Processes and Evidence-Based Interventions to Improve Sleep
Introduction In March of this year, I did a Rabbit Hole (Episode 079) in which I discussed a number of trends marketed to the wider public promising sleep improvement. As you know, a huge swath of the population suffers from sleep disturbance. According to the NIH, approximately 30% to 40% of US adults report sleep […]
